From North Korea to Seoul — writing about fashion, identity, and everyday life.

Hi, I’m Jihyun Kang.

I was born in North Korea, where clothing and personal style were not always matters of individual choice. Fashion made me curious about the outside world—how people lived, dressed, and expressed themselves.

I later moved to South Korea and studied fashion in Seoul. Since then, I have worked in fashion and entrepreneurship, founded ISTORY, and started creating art under the name DaGyeol.

This is a personal journal about North and South Korea, fashion, beauty, Seoul life, art, and the experiences that have shaped me.

I write about the things I notice, learn, and continue to figure out along the way.
